It is envisaged that the 2023 Kildare Primary Soccer leagues will begin week commencing Monday September 18th 2023. It is hoped that each school will have the opportunity of playing 3 group fixtures (1 per week) with semi-finals due to take place week beginning Monday October 9th 2023 and a finals day itself week beginning Monday October 9th 2023.

With such a tight time frame and no gap weeks scheduled, schools must ensure they fulfil their fixtures on time.

Schools can enter teams by filling out the relevant information required. Entry fee is €25 per team (not per school). Payment details to follow in September.

'B' Cups - Criteria for Entry

The criteria for the Senior, Junior & Minor B Cups is as follows: Schools that have 250 boys or girls (depending on the section being entered) or less on the entire school roll are now eligible for these competitions.

The criteria for the First Year 'B' Cup is 50 students or less in First Year.

Schools are required to provide letters of eligibility in order for their entry to be processed. A template letter has been e-mailed to you for this purpose. This letter must be returned:

1. by e-mail only (PDF or JPEG) to joe.carroll@faischools.ie. Please cc declan.mcgrath@faischools.ie on your e-mail

2. must contain the school name, accurate numbers of students enrolled & must be signed by the School Principal/Deputy Principal

3. must be received by Friday 30th September 2022 - if not, removal from competition, with no refund, will follow.

Boys Section Competitions - Senior (U-19)

*NB* The Senior 'B' Cup is only open to schools with less than 250 BOYS on the roll. Evidence of compliance is needed before competition entry will be confirmed. A template letter is included with your welcome letter.

It is NOT possible to enter both the Senior & Senior 'B' Cup.

Preliminary & First Round Losers in the Leinster Dr. Tony O'Neill Senior Cup will be given the option of participating in a Leinster Senior Shield Competition.

Girls Section Competitions - Senior (U-20)
